| Description: | The primary purpose of this position is to apply principles of physics, mechanics, engineering mathematics, and mechanical engineering to conceptual design and integration of downhole oilwell logging tools.

| Duties: | Duties / Essential Functions
• Creates new mechanical designs for probe and collar based MWD and LWD tools
• Responsible for mechanical design of tool chassis, PCB mounting/packaging, seals, pressure compensation, tool mechanical connections, and electrical wet connect assemblies
• Key contributor on the mechanical design and erosion control of a mud flow valve to be used for mud pulse telemetry and an electric turbine for downhole power generation
• Works with electrical engineer to integrate the mechanical and electrical assembly
• Works with mechanical designer to build solid models, assemblies, and final manufacturing drawings for electro-mechanical assemblies
• Oversees assembly and test of prototype MWD and LWD tools
• Develop mechanical test methods and works with manufacturing engineering to simplify tool assembly and maintenance
• Document BOMs, assembly drawings, and systems test procedures.
• Prototype mechanical assembly skills and experience desired
• HAZMAT training for MWD systems

| Qualifications: | Education / Requirements
• 8+ years of experience preferred, preferably in design of MWD/LWD tools
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Familiarity with GD&T, ISO and API compliance regulations, codes and standards
• Solidworks Designer Certification
• Programming languages skills required: LabView a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
